There’s Power in Them Rollin’ Hills | Boudoir Photographer | Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-3That’s a song by Jill Scott, one of my absolute most favorite musicians ever. I felt the title was appropriate for this post because…you know…just look at these curves.

There’s a beautiful story that goes with this session, but that will come a bit later. For now, I wanted to shine a bit of a spotlight on the magical curves that women have. Big, small, short, tall, belly, no belly…gosh our bodies are simply the most awe-inspiring and miracle-contemplating works of art. I think the mystery that a woman’s body holds will forever be the most mystical creations of all time. Before you say I’m being a bit fluffy here, imagine what men have done throughout history to celebrate those bodies, touch those bodies and even turn them into works on canvas, buildings, sculptures….

My favorite part of shooting nudes is the power that a women can feel infusing into her body as she watches what she tears down in the mirror become living, breathing art right in front of her Self. You can see her fears and self-doubt just fly away as it sets in that, yes, this body is hers and what a gift that truly is.

See those little rolls on her side? That is my most favorite part of a woman. Yes, a lot of women ask me to remove those and it kills me every time because I feel like I’m removing what makes us real. Body’s are supposed to do that and to me it’s the most significant sign of beauty. It’s genuine and authentic, as it should be because no matter anything else, we should allow our bodies to be genuine and authentic. Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-1Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-2Makeover (you’ll soon see) by At Home Beauty.

Sprinkle a Little Sparkle in Your Life

Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-21Man oh man I can’t tell you how excited I was when she put this outfit on. It was like Studio 54 meets glitzy chic meets bombshell meets….jaw dropping to the ground. SHEESH! I picked up this little number for a few bucks in a thrift shop in Philly. Um–the bodysuit, not the hottie wearing it.

Anywho, I just couldn’t help but add in another layer in a few with the fur tree skirt. I just love that thing. Best $15 ever spent.

Now, if you can believe it or not, this lovely lady is so low key and so down to earth she has no idea how gorgeous she is, nor does she care to hear about it. She’s surrounded by a group of gal pals that love her dearly, has a guy that loves her more, and is happy just chillin’ while quietly watching what goes on around her. Taking that and putting it in a sparkly bodysuit pretty much makes my whole week. Of course…sparkles are my spirit animal so this should come as no surprise.

If you’re considering a session with me, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve changed my pricing structure. I’m kinda excited about this because it gives my clients a lot more control over pricing and inclusions, making this luxury experience way more affordable to way more ladies.

So, now you have no excuse…Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-22Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-23Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-24Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-25Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer | Elizabeth Craig Photography-26Makeover by At Home Beauty.

Guess What?

Elizabeth Craig Photography Pricing-1-2Did you read what’s on that photograph?? I’m super-dee-duper excited to share with you that I have decided to go back to offering collections (packages), instead of an a la carte system. And right now you’re saying to yourself, “Who gives a biggie hoot.” But oh my gosh….you do. Why? Because I just created a collection system that allows for allllll women of alllll wallet sizes to enjoy a session with me. Don’t worry! For those of you that have experienced a luxury session with me, you still can. That’s not going away. I have just neatly package-priced that experienced, along with a few other collections, that make my services more widely available.

Listen, I love when women tell me I’m on their bucket list and as sooooooon as they save up enough money, I’m numero uno on that list.  And I get it that what I do is a luxury, no matter at what price point. So it was pretty sensational when I had an epiphany that allows me to make this luxury available to more women. I also know that the reason I stand out is because of the experience I offer and the style of photography I specialize in. So have no fear: none of that changes. Honestly, it never could because that’s what allows me to enjoy what I do and I’m not changing anything that mixes that up.

So, I now offer collections starting at $500 (FIVE HUNDRED!!). If you knew my previous pricing then you know that’s pretty big news. So share this with your friends, shout it from the rooftops, take out an ad in the newspaper or send out some smoke signals because this is biggie big, for me AND you!

I’ll see you in my studio soon!

Ohhhh To Be 21 Again…

21st Birthday | Elizabeth Craig Photography-4I’m not sure I would want to go back, but I do love watching young women come into their own when they hit their 20’s. Searching for independence, still not sure what to do with their lives, falling in and out of love…a lot. I do miss that take-no-prisoners, I-can-do-anything, grab-life-by-the-tata’s attitude (though I still have quite a lot of that in me).

For Sam’s 21st, her mom bought her a session with me. Mom was a previous client of mine, so she knew what a fun day this would be. We glammed, we primped, we pampered, we kicked hips out, we ooooooooozed attitude. All as it should be.

What I’m most thrilled with is that Sam will have these photos forever, to always look back on and remember her 21st. Now all she needs to do is follow this up with a trip to Vegas…21st complete. Hahahaha…call me, Sam…Vegas is calling me too.

This is just a little sneak peek. I’ll be back with lots more…21st Birthday | Elizabeth Craig Photography-121st Birthday | Elizabeth Craig Photography-221st Birthday | Elizabeth Craig Photography-3Makeover by At Home Beauty.
