I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: small weddings are my jam. I love the biggie’s too, but the teenies have my heart for sure. And this was no different on a Thursday evening at Phipps Conservatory with Kate & Erik.
Ten people. That’s right: 10. We had the bride and groom, the officiant, 2 moms, a dad, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Both Kate & Erik had had previous very serious relationships prior to finding each other, and watching how close this blended family had become was incredibly heartening. So much love in such a small group of lovely people.
As you can see, emotions ran high for Kate and I loved that she just let herself feel this moment. All 10 people coming together in obvious delight to watch these 2 make official what was clearly a formality; they were already married in their hearts. But as a bystander, I was so privileged to be there and witness their union.
LOVE these kinds of days!
